Birzeit University Friends Association and Zard Jewelry Launch Strategic Scholarship Program for Students
Ramallah, Palestine – The Birzeit University Friends Association has partnered with Zard Jewelry to launch a strategic scholarship program for Birzeit University students. The announcement was made during a signing ceremony held under the company’s initiative “Knowledge Builds Our Future”, aimed at supporting education in Palestine.
The scholarship reflects the Association’s commitment to supporting students as a cornerstone for building a brighter future. It provides financial assistance to help students continue their studies, while also offering practical training and professional development opportunities to prepare them for stable employment after graduation.
The signing ceremony brought together leaders from both organizations, including Mr. Ibrahim Awad Al-Malki, Ms. Rola Saada Awad, and Mr. Thaer Makawi from Zard Jewelry, alongside Ms. Nisreen Hidmi Masrouji, Chairwoman of the Board of the Association, with Board Members Mr. Hassan Qassem and Mr. Khamees Adkeedek representing the Association.
In his remarks, Mr. Ibrahim Awad Al-Malki encouraged other private sector companies to launch similar initiatives, emphasizing the critical role of the private sector in supporting education and the broader community. He noted that such programs help cultivate a generation of skilled and educated youth ready to meet future challenges, stressing that education is key to sustainable development in Palestine.
Ms. Nisreen Hidmi Masrouji expressed her sincere gratitude to Zard Jewelry for its ongoing support. She highlighted that initiatives like this provide vital assistance to students facing financial difficulties, enhance their chances of academic and professional success, and strengthen the Association’s mission, which has spanned over thirty years in serving Birzeit University students. She also called on other Palestinian institutions to join and support the scholarship program, reaching as many students as possible during these challenging times.
This scholarship initiative is part of the Birzeit University Friends Association’s ongoing efforts to empower Palestinian youth to achieve their academic and professional aspirations and facilitate their integration into the labor market.
